Peptamen Junior is appropriate for children with compromised gastrointestinal function. When one is seriously ill, 70% of protein is absorbed in peptide form. Due to the mix of peptide, MCTs help to enhance tolerance in patients.

Peptamen Junior is a nutritionally balanced, peptide based enteral formula for children aged 1-10 years, for the dietary management of gastrointestinal impairment. It is suitable as a tube or oral feed for children requiring nutritional support. Low Residue. Suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition.
To make 250-mL total volume: Add 7 scoops (55 g) to 210 mL water to provide 250 kCal or add 10.5 scoops (83 g) to 195 mL water to provide 375 kCal.
To make 500-mL total volume: Add 14 scoops (110 g) to 425 mL water to provide 500 kCal or add 21 scoops (165 g) to 390 mL water to provide 750 kCal.
To make 1000-mL total volume: Add 28 scoops (220 g) to 850 mL water to provide 1000 kCal or add 42 scoops (330 g) to 780 mL water to provide 1500 kCal.
Average scoop size = 7.8 g.

When used as a tube feeding, do not add drugs or other foods on the product.
All prepared product should be tightly covered & consumed within 6 hours at room temperature or within 24 hours if refrigerated.
STORE IN A COOL DRY PLACE AND USE WITHIN 4 WEEKS AFTER OPENING.
(1) Wash hands. Follow the dosage table (see Dosage & Administration) & select the volume to be prepared. (2) Measure cooled boiled water and pour in a clean bowl or container. (3) Scoop & level the desired amount of powder using the scoop in the tin or weigh by grams. Use only enclosed scoop. (4) Add the powder to the water & immediately stir until well mixed. (5) After use, store the scoop inside the can.
