Per g Econazole nitrate 10 mg, triamcinolone acetonide 1 mg
Indications/Uses
Dermatomycoses complicated by inflammatory &/or pruritic manifestations of skin disorders.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply to affected area bd in the morning & evening. Max duration: Not >2 wk.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. TB, varicella, herpes simplex or other viral skin infections or fresh vaccination sites.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if hypersensitivity or chemical irritation occurs. Not for ophth or oral use. Hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA) suppression, Cushing's syndrome. Increased risk of dermatological superinfection or opportunistic infection; cataracts, ocular HTN or glaucoma. Skin thinning & atrophy, striae, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, acne, telangiectasis, purpura, hypertrichosis, delayed wound healing. Not to be applied w/ occlusive dressing or to large surface skin areas & damaged skin. Not to be used extensively or prolonged use during pregnancy. Lactation. HPA axis suppression or Cushing's syndrome in ped patients.
Adverse Reactions
Skin burning sensation & irritation, erythema.
Drug Interactions
Monitor anticoagulant effect w/ oral anticoagulants eg, warfarin or acenocoumarol.
