Action
Pregestimil Lipil is tailored to allergic baby's needs. It is especially designed for infants with allergy and/or fat maldigestion/malabsorption with symptoms eg, protracted diarrhea, gastrointestinal symptoms or failure to thrive. It contains all nutrients defined by law necessary for baby's healthy growth and development, and can be used as a sole source of nourishment. After 6 months, the baby can continue with Pregestimil as part of a diversified diet.
The proteins in Pregestimil Lipil are extensively hydrolysed. This means, the proteins are broken down into such tiny pieces that do not trigger an allergic reaction and are easier to digest. It is lactose free. Pregestimil Lipil also contains medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) to help manage baby's condition more effectively, and lipil as a source of long-chain omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.
Pregestimil Lipil contains a high proportion of MCT in its lipid profile. It is easily absorbed which makes the product also suitable for infants with damaged gut and fat malabsorption.
Lipil is our unique blend of omega 3 (DHA) and omega 6 (ARA) fatty acids. These fatty acids are naturally found in breast milk. DHA at the level present in Pregestimil Lipil has been clinically proven to support visual development in infants.
