Indications and Dosage
Smooth muscle spasms
Adult: 30-60 mg tid.

Adult: 7.5-15 mg, given 2-4 times daily via IM/IV/SC inj.

Smooth muscle spasms
Adult: 60 mg 3-4 times daily.
Glaucoma, micturition disorders due to prostatic hypertrophy; severe heart disease; paralytic ileus.
Special Precautions
Prostatic hypertrophy, hyperthyroidism, CHF, arrhythmia, ulcerative colitis or those exposed to high environmental temperature. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Visual accommodation disturbance; vertigo; thirst, constipation; palpitation; rash or other symptoms of hypersensitivity; micturition difficulties.
Drug Interactions
Action potentiated by tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs), phenothiazines and MAOIs.
Description: Prifinium bromide is a quaternary ammon antimuscarinic. It inhibits hyperkinesia of the digestive organs and urinary tract, and has a spasmolytic action.
