Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Fe sucrose, mono- & disaccharide complexes. Fe overload or disturbances in Fe utilization (eg, aemochromatosis, haemosiderosis), anemic conditions not caused by Fe deficiency (eg, haemolytic anaemias).

Special Precautions

Allergic or anaphylactic reactions. Not to be inj SC or IV. Avoid paravenous leakage at inj site & rapid administration. History of severe asthma, eczema or other atopic allergy. Patients w/ low Fe binding capacity &/or folic acid deficiency. Not to be used in combination w/ oral Fe prep. Pregnancy & lactation. Not recommended in childn.
