Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to varicella-zoster vaccine, gelatin or neomycin. Primary & acquired immunodeficiency. Immunosuppressive therapy except topical/inhaled or low-dose systemic corticosteroids, or corticosteroids used as replacement therapy. Active untreated TB. Pregnancy.
Not to be given intravascularly. Defer vaccination in the presence of fever >38.5°C. HIV patients w/ or w/o evidence of immunosuppression. Lactation. Childn.
