Why do I need this medicine?

Cetylpyridinium helps to relieve bacterial infections of the mouth and throat. It is also used to freshen breath and prevent the formation of plaque..

This medicine may also be used as part of your daily mouth hygiene and after a dental work.

How do I use this medicine?

Use Cetylpyridinium exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.

There is no need for this medicine to be diluted in water.

Do not swallow the solution.

What should I take note of while using this medicine?

Inform your doctor if you have gingivitis (a condition in which the gums are inflamed) or bleeding gums which persists for a long period of time.

Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Inform your doctor immediately if you accidentally swallowed large amount of Cetylpyridinium solution.

Avoid contact with eyes.

What side effects could I experience?

Cetylpyridinium may cause any of the following side effects: mouth irritation, staining of the tooth and/or tongue, nausea and vomiting.

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.

Can I use this with other medicines?

Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics, such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.

How should I store this medicine?

Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.
