Why do I need this medicine?

Ipratropium bromide helps alleviate constant runny nose associated with allergic rhinitis, non-allergic seasonal rhinitis and common cold.

This medicine may be used to treat other conditions as decided by your doctor.

How do I use this medicine?

Use Ipratropium bromide exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.

If you are using this medicine for the first time, remove the cap and press the pump a few times (usually about 7 times) until you see an even spray. If you have not used the spray for more than 24 hours, press the pump twice to get an even spray before using.

How to use:
1. Blow your nose gently to clear your nostrils before using the spray.
2. Close one nostril with your finger. Hold the pump straight and upright, placing the applicator tip into the other nostril.
3. Breath in slowly through your nose while spraying into the nostril. Breath out through your mouth.
4. Repeat steps to spray in the other nostril.
5. Wipe and cap the nasal spray.

Make sure you know how to use your nasal spray. If you have problems or do not understand the instructions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

This medicine must be used regularly for it to be effective. Continue using Ipratropium bromide nasal spray even when you feel better. Do not stop using it unless instructed by the doctor.

Do not share your nasal spray with others as it could spread infections.

What should I do if I have forgotten to use this medicine?

Use the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.

DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.

If you often forget to use your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.

Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not allow the solution or mist to be in contact with your eyes. If it gets into your eyes, flush it with clean water. See a doctor quickly if you experience any problems with your eyesight.

What side effects could I experience?

Other side effects include any of the following: dryness, irritation and bleeding of the nose, headache, nausea and irritation of the throat.
