Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Insert the filled applicator as deeply as possible into the vagina, preferably at night. Carry out 2nd treatment if necessary.
Special Precautions
Do not use during menstrual period; finish treatment before onset of menstruation. Do not use tampons, intravaginal douches, spermicides or other vag products while on treatment. Avoid vag intercourse. Hypersensitivity to imidazoles or other vag antifungals. Patients w/ >2 candidal vaginitis infections in the last 6 mth; history of STD or exposure to partner w/ STD. Not to be used in patients w/ irregular or abnormal vag bleeding or blood-stained discharge; vulval or vag ulcers, blisters or sores; lower abdominal pain or dysuria; treatment associated AR eg, redness, irritation or swelling; fever or chills; nausea or vomiting; diarrhoea; foul smelling vag discharge. Contains cetosteryl alcohol; may cause local skin reactions eg, contact dermatitis. Pregnancy, suspected pregnancy & lactation. Not for childn <16 yr. Elderly >60 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic reactions (syncope, hypotension, dyspnea, urticaria, pruritus); genital peeling, rash, oedema, discomfort, burning, irritation, pelvic pain; abdominal pain.
Drug Interactions
May increase oral tacrolimus plasma levels.
