Mefenamic acid
Indications/Uses
Relief of mild to moderately severe somatic & neuritic pains; headache, migraine, traumatic pain, postpartum pain, post-op pain, dental pain, & in pain & fever following various inflammatory conditions; dysmenorrhea & menorrhagia accompanied by spasm or hypogastric pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
250-500 mg tds. Max duration: 7 days.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately after meals.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain & dyspepsia; skin rashes, urticaria, headache, dizziness, depression & transient leukopenia.
Drug Interactions
Enhanced response of anticoagulant (warfarin).
