Ipratropium Br 20 mcg, salbutamol 100 mcg
Dosage/Direction for Use
2 puffs qds. Max: 12 puffs in 24 hr.
Hypersensitivity to atropine or its derivatives. History of hypersensitivity to soya lecithin or related food products eg, soybean & peanut.
Special Precautions
Discontinue immediately if paradoxical bronchospasm occurs. CV disorders especially coronary insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmias & HTN; narrow-angle glaucoma, prostatic hyperplasia or bladder-neck obstruction; convulsive disorders, hyperthyroidism, DM. May produce transient hypokalemia. Hepatic or renal insufficiency. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, pain, influenza, bronchitis, dyspnea, coughing, resp disorders, pneumonia, upper resp tract infection, pharyngitis, sinusitis, rhinitis. Edema, fatigue, HTN, dizziness, nervousness, paresthesia, tremor, dysphonia, insomnia, diarrhea, dry mouth, dyspepsia, vomiting, arrhythmia, palpitation, tachycardia, arthralgia, angina, increased sputum, taste perversion & UTI/dysuria.
Drug Interactions
Potential additive effect in concomitant use w/ anticholinergics. Increased risk of CV adverse effects in concomitant use w/ β-blockers. May worsen ECG changes &/or hypokalemia of non-K sparing diuretics (eg, loop or thiazide diuretics). Potentiated CV action of salbutamol in concomitant use w/ or w/in 2 wk of discontinuation of MAOIs or tricyclic antidepressants.
