Concise Prescribing Info
21 white active tab each containing Norgestrel 0.3 mg, ethinyl estradiol 0.03 mg. 7 brown inert tab each containing Ferrous fumarate 75 mg
Dosage/Direction for Use
Start taking on the 1st day of the menstrual cycle. Take the white tab daily at the same time each day for 21 days. Subsequently, take the brown tab once daily for 7 days. Once completed, start a new pack as directed.
Should be taken with food: Take w/ meals to prevent GI upset.
Special Precautions
May affect certain blood tests. Does not protect against transmission of HIV (AIDS) & other STDs eg, chlamydia, genital herpes or warts, gonorrhea, hepatitis B & syphilis. Can be a risk factor to patients w/ rash, vag infections, pancreatic inflammation, melasma. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Irregular vag bleeding, fluid retention/edema, nausea, breast tenderness, change in appetite, headache, nervousness, depression, dizziness, loss of scalp hair, allergic reactions.
Drug Interactions
Efficacy may be affected or breakthrough bleeding may be increased w/ rifampin, drugs used for epilepsy eg, barbiturates (eg, phenobarb) & phenytoin, primidone, topiramate, carbamazepine, phenylbutazone, some drugs used for HIV or AIDS eg, ritonavir, modafinil, possibly certain antibiotics (eg, ampicillin & other penicillins & tetracyclines) & herbal products containing St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum).

G03AA06 - norgestrel and ethinylestradiol ; Belongs to the class of progestogens and estrogens in fixed combinations. Used as systemic contraceptives.
