Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult : PO Antacid 400 mg/day. Bowel prep 3.5 g as single dose, usually w/ bisacodyl or Na picosulfate. Nutritional supplementation 800 mg/day.

Contraindications
Renal failure.
Special Precautions
Renal impairment, bowel obstruction.
Adverse Reactions
Cramping, diarrhoea, rashes, hives, itching, vomiting and upset stomach; hypermagnesaemia; paralytic ileus.
Drug Interactions
May decrease absorption of tetracyclines and bisphosphonates; separate administration of these and other drugs by around 2 hr.
