Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
Should be taken with food: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to indapamide & other sulfonamides. Severe renal or hepatic failure, hepatic encephalopathy & hypokalemia.
Special Precautions
Monitor K & uric acid serum levels especially in patients w/ gout & those predisposed to hypokalemia. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Hypokalemia, fatigue, orthostatic hypotension & allergic manifestations.
Drug Interactions
Avoid concomitant use w/: Lithium, non-antiarrhythmic drugs causing wave burst arrhythmia (astemizole, bepridil, erythromycin IV, halofantrine, pentamidine, sultopride, terfenadine & vincamine). Special care requiring: Allopurinol.
