Adult : PO Trichuris trichiura 10-20 mg/kg as a single dose; w/ pyrantel: 10-20 mg/kg as a single dose. Hookworm infections; Enterobiasis; Trichuris orientalis W/ pyrantel: 10-20 mg/kg as a single dose.

Action
Description: Oxantel, an analogue of pyrantel, is a depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent. It opens nonselective cation channels and induces activation of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, which results in spastic paralysis of the worms.
