GERD 20-40 mg once daily for 4 wk, increased to 8 wk if necessary. Maintenance: 20-40 mg daily. PUD Usual dose: 40 mg once daily. Duration of treatment: Duodenal ulcer 2-4 wk; Benign gastric ulceration 4-8 wk. Hepatic impairment Dose may be reduced or be given on alternate days. Max: 20 mg daily, or 40 mg on alternate days.
