Convulsions; new or worsening infection. Patient w/ allergies; diarrhoea before, during or after treatment; low K levels. Concomitant use w/ anticoagulants. May affect lab tests. Perform regular blood tests in patients w/ kidney or liver problems, on haemodialysis. Pregnancy & lactation. Not recommended in childn <2 yr.
Swelling of face, lips, tongue or other parts of the body, shortness of breath, wheezing or trouble in breathing, severe rash, itching or hives on skin, yellowing of eyes or skin, damage to blood cells. Diarrhoea, vomiting, nausea; skin rashes.
Prolonged clearance w/ probenecid. Heparin, warfarin or aspirin, muscle relaxants during surgery; medicines that reduce K levels; tobramycin or gentamycin. Reduced clearance of methotrexate.
