Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult : Topical Skin protectant As 6%, 11.3%, 13% cream, 3.8%, 7.5%, 10%, 20%, 40% oint or 9.1% powder: Apply liberally onto affected areas as often as needed. Nappy rash As 3.8 %, 7.5%, 10%, 20% oint: Apply liberally onto affected areas as often as needed at each diaper change. Sunscreen As 20%, 10% cream or as 14% lotion: Apply liberally onto affected areas (e.g. face, neck) 15 min before sun exposure, reapply at least 2 hourly.

Incompatibility
In the presence of light, may cause black discolouration with glycerol.

Adverse Reactions
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Local irritation.
Patient Counseling Information
Avoid contact with eyes or use on damaged or broken skin. Avoid long-term sun exposure.
Action
Description: Zinc oxide is a mild astringent with soothing, protective, and weak antiseptic properties. It provides physical barrier to prevent skin irritation and help heal damaged skin. It also reflects UV radiation and used as a physical sunscreen.
