Discontinue if immediate hypersensitivity reactions or paradoxical bronchospasm occurs. Deterioration of asthma control. Patients w/ underlying CV disorders, especially coronary insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmias & HTN; thyrotoxicosis. Coexisting conditions eg, convulsive disorders, hyperthyroidism, or DM & in patients who are unusually responsive to sympathomimetic amines. Hypokalemia. Regular medical assessment, including lung-function testing in patients w/ severe asthma. Assess & consider the need for increased anti-inflammatory therapy (eg, higher doses of inhaled corticosteroids or a course of oral corticosteroid). Concomitant use w/ xanthine derivatives, steroids & diuretics. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly.
