Appebon 500 provides Buclizine, an appetite stimulant to revive and restore appetite and the most essential B-complex vitamins to improve absorption and metabolism of food nutrients to faster weight gain and greater energy production. Lysine is added to the syrup to sustain rapid growth in children.
Appebon 500 is a non-hormonal agent. It does not interfere with endocrine functions; hence, there is no risk of water or sodium retention. The use of appebon 500 is relatively free from side effects. If ever drowsiness occurs, it is only mild and minimal. Appebon 500 is well tolerated for long-term use.
Indications/Uses
Poor appetite associated with body weakness, easy fatigability, irritability and trauma. Underweight cases due to inadequate food intake, infections and chronic ailments like asthma. For nutritional support in post-operative cases, metabolic disorders, convalescence and in bedridden patients. Also as supplementary treatment in anorexia.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Orally, one teaspoonful (5 mL) daily.
2-6 years old = 5 to 10 mL (1 to 2 teaspoonfuls).
7-14 years old = 15 to 20 mL (2 to 4 teaspoonfuls).
Or as prescribed by the physician.
Special Precautions
Antihistamines may cause drowsiness and dulling of mental alertness. Patients taking the drug should refrain from activities demanding alertness as in driving vehicles or operating machinery.
