Zinc sulfate monohydrate.
Each mL of oral drops contains: Zinc (as Sulfate Monohydrate) 10 mg (equivalent to 27.5 mg Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate).
Each 5 mL of syrup contains: Zinc (as Sulfate Monohydrate) 20 mg (equivalent to 55 mg/5 mL Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate).
Biozinc contains Zinc. This is an essential mineral important for many different processes in the body. It helps the body's natural defense against damaging free radicals (antioxidant effect) and helps boost immune function.
For the prevention and treatment of Zinc deficiency characterized by growth retardation and defects of rapidly dividing tissues such as skin, the immune system, and the intestinal mucosa.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Infants: 1 mL to 5 mL three times daily for Zinc deficiency or as prescribed by physician.
Children: 5 mL to 10 mL (1 to 2 teaspoonfuls) daily for Zinc deficiency states or as prescribed by physician.
If you miss a dose for the day, just take the next dose and the subsequent doses at the usual recommended schedule, i.e., once a day.
Signs and Symptoms: Rare occurrences of acute zinc poisoning have been reported. The toxicity signs observed after ingestion of high zinc doses (4-8 grams) include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, metallic taste and lethargy (sleepiness).
If the patient has taken more than the recommended dosage, consult a doctor.
If you are allergic to any component of the product.
Contains FD & C Yellow #5 (Tartrazine) that may cause hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Do not take more than the recommended dose.
Adverse Reactions
Gastrointestinal side effects such as abdominal pain, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastric irritation, and gastritis (occurs when taken on an empty stomach, may be reduced by administration with meals).
Drug Interactions
The amount of Zinc in the products is not expected to interact with food or medicines.
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
