Contents
Ca carbonate 2.5 g (equiv to Ca 1,000 mg), cholecalciferol 400 IU
Indications/Uses
Ca supplementation for conditions of increasing requirements eg, growth spurts, adolescence, pregnancy & lactation, post-menopausal stages, Ca & vit D-combined deficiencies. Prevents &/or treats various conditions caused by vit D deficiency especially skin & bones conditions.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Pour contents of sachet into 200 mL water w/ continuous stirring. Drink immediately.
Contraindications
Renal calculi, hypophosphatemia, hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism & Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Patients w/ long-term treatment of renal failure.
Special Precautions
Impaired renal function, cardiac disease or sarcoidosis. Concomitant use w/ digoxin.
Adverse Reactions
GI irritation & constipation. Hypercalcemia w/ excessive amount of Ca salts.
