Clobetasol propionate
Indications/Uses
Moderate to severe scalp psoriasis for patients ≥18 yr.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply a thin film on the affected dry scalp area once a day. Leave for 15 min before lathering & rinsing. Do not use occlusive dressing unless necessary. Limit treatment to 4 consecutive wk. Do not use >50 mL/wk.
Contraindications
Patients who are hypersensitive to clobetasol propionate, to other corticosteroids, or to any ingredient of Clobex.
Special Precautions
Avoid contact w/ facial skin, eyes or lips, groin or axillae. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <18 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Burning, stinging, pruritus, edema, folliculitis, acne, dry skin, irritant dermatitis, alopecia, urticaria, skin atrophy & telangiectasia.
