Indications/Uses
Relief of symptoms associated w/ seasonal & perennial allergic rhinitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Co-Altria tab Adult & childn ≥15 yr 1 tab once daily. Co-Altria Ped chewable tab Childn 6-14 yr 1 tab once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Severe renal (CrCl <10 mL/min) or hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn 6-11 yr w/ renal impairment.
Special Precautions
Mild to moderate renal impairment. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Not recommended to patients w/ severe hepatic impairment. Co-Altria Ped Levocetirizine diHCl: May experience somnolence, fatigue & asthenia affecting ability to drive or operate machinery. Not recommended to infants & toddlers <2 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Levocetirizine: Somnolence, dry mouth. Montelukast: Asthenia/fatigue, fever, abdominal pain, trauma; dyspepsia, infectious gastroenteritis, dental pain; dizziness, headache; nasal congestion, cough, flu; rash; increased ALT & AST, pyuria.
Drug Interactions
Levocetirizine: Decreased clearance w/ theophylline. Increased plasma AUC, t½ & decreased clearance w/ ritonavir. Montelukast: Decreased plasma conc w/ phenobarb. Co-administration w/ CYP3A4 inducers eg, phenytoin, phenobarb & rifampicin.

R03DC53 - montelukast, combinations ; Belongs to the class of leukotriene receptor antagonists. Used in the systemic treatment of obstructive airway diseases.
