Description
Unisex socks: 96% Polyamide, 4% Elastane.
Ingredients of the capsules/refills (INCI-UE): Aqua, Propylene Glycol, EDTA, Lecithin, Xanthan Gum, Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract, Phosphatidylcholine, Cetrimonium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid.
Action
Difoprev is a system for the prevention of Diabetic Foot skin consisting on a pair of socks and special microcapsules. The fabric is made with special top-quality high-resistant yarns: it can reduce the friction between skin and shoe, has a flat seam that does not generate any point of friction and guarantees the best mechanical protection. Microcapsules fixed to the yarn release active ingredients with hydrating and protective properties, indicated for local applications on the foot.
Indications/Uses
Coadjuvant for the prevention of the Diabetic Foot skin. Please choose the proper size of the socks to obtain the best benefit for patient's feet.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Remove Difoprev device treated with microcapsules and ready-to use from its package and wear it, making sure that there is no crease in the fabric. Active ingredients' release occurs during the use. It is necessary to refill the fabric with the specific ingredients every 3 days, regardless of the washings, by using Difoprev Refills. Use continuously for maximum one month. Wait for another month before restarting treatment.
Contraindications
Known individual hypersensitivity to one of its components. In case of open wounds or ulcers, protect them with a sterile medication.
Special Precautions
Use on intact skin only. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the pack; the expiration date applies to the product kept in an intact pack, which is properly stored in a cool, dry place at a temperature between 10° and 40° C and away from direct sunlight. In case of any side effect, promptly contact a physician. The refill capsules are to be used with Difoprev socks only.
Side Effects
No adverse reaction due to the topical use of Difoprev have been reported. Tests have shown a good local tolerability and no sensitizing and/or irritant effects.
Drug Interactions
No interaction phenomena based on the carried out tests. If in doubt, please consult a physician.
Caution For Usage
HOW TO WASH THE SOCKS: Gently hand-wash using a non-aggressive detergent.
HOW TO REFILL THE DIFOPREV SOCKS: Detach the capsule along the line.
Shake the single-use capsule firmly before using it.
Open the capsule as indicated, pour the content in 250 ml (about 1-2 glasses) of lukewarm water and shake until the product is dissolved.
Turn the socks inside out.
Soak the socks for about 30 minutes.
Dry away from heat sources, do not iron.
