Indications/Uses
Nutritional supplement as adjunct in the management of acute diarrhea, boost immune function, help support optimum physical growth & development.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adjunct in the management of acute diarrhea w/ reduced osmolarity ORS Childn 4-8 yr 1 chewable tab. Nutritional supplement Adult & childn ≥9 yr ½-1 chewable tab; 4-8 yr ¼-½ chewable tab.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Special Precautions
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness. Headache, metallic taste. Abdominal pain/cramps, diarrhea, dyspepsia, gastritis, GI discomfort/irritation, nausea, vomiting. Loss of appetite.
Drug Interactions
Decrease/reduce absorption of bisphosphonates (alendronate, etidronate, risedronate); quinolones (eg, ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, ofloxacin); tetracycline; penicillamine; food (caffeine or tea, P, Ca (dairy) or phytates (eg, bran, brown bread). Additive effects w/ cholesterol medicines. Inhibits absorption of copper & Fe.
