Administration

Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals. Chew tab completely before swallowing.

Special Precautions

Flatulence & alkalosis may occur. Concomitant use w/ ketoconazole & itraconazole.

Adverse Reactions

Hypercalcemia. Mg hydroxide: Diarrhea, hypermagnesemia. Ca carbonate: Constipation.

Administer antacid 2-3 hr apart. CYP450 inhibitors. May reduce absorption of ketoconazole & itraconazole.
