Concise Prescribing Info
Chlorhexidine digluconate
Relief of external genital itching, burning sensation & irritation commonly experienced during menstruation, menopause & w/ excessive vag secretions. Prevention & treatment of infections of vag wounds. External genital wash before & after sexual intercourse.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Shake well before use. Moisten the external genitalia w/ clean tap water. Pour 1 palmful (5 mL) & apply gently on the external genitalia. After 1-2 min rinse thoroughly w/ water & pat dry. Use bid to supplement treatment. For regular protection, use 2 times/wk.
Special Precautions
Do not use everyday for >2 wk.
Adverse Reactions
Severe AR including burning/stinging sensation, local irritation, wheezing or difficulty in breathing, swelling of the face, hives that can quickly progress to more serious symptoms, severe rash, shock (a life-threatening condition that occurs when the body is not getting enough blood flow).
