Indications/Uses
Treatment of primary or secondary lipid disorder. Primary or secondary prevention in patients at high risk for CAD.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Irbersartan: Patients w/ renal artery stenosis. Hypotension in vol-depleted patients. Hyperkalemia. Monitor serum K conc in elderly & renal impairment. Avoid concomitant use w/ K-sparing diuretics. Hepatic impairment. Hydrochlorothiazide: Addison's disease. Renal impairment.
Adverse Reactions
Irbesartan: Dizziness, dose-related orthostatic hypotension. Impaired renal function; hyperkalemia & myalgia; resp tract disorders, back pain, GI disturbances, fatigue & neutropenia. Hydrochlorothiazide: Hyperglycemia & glycosuria.
