Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Filling Material: Microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose.
Lactose, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), hydrogenated vegetable oil, selenium yeast, dl-alfa-tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E), carotenoids (lutein and Zeaxanthin esters), zinc oxide, glycerol, stearic acid.
Colorant: Titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide yellow (E172). yellow orange lake S (E110), ponceau lake 4R (E124).
Separating Agent: Talc.
Coating Agent: Hydroxypropylcellulose.

Ocuvite contains essential antioxidant vitamins (vitamin C and E), minerals (zinc and selenium), and lutein and zeaxanthin.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids. Carotenoids are the yellow/orange pigments found in fruits and vegetables, particularly dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach.
These carotenoids, antioxidant vitamins, as well as the mineral zinc and selenium (as compounds of important enzymes), are necessary for the functioning of the body's protection system against oxidative damage. This kind of damage is caused by so- called "free radicals" (highly reactive metabolites) which are produced by oxidation. This process occurs continuously throughout the body. Therefore the body has to quench the free radicals, also continuously, by its own protection system. As long as both processes are in balance, the body can cope with oxidative stress.
Carotenoids, vitamins and minerals cannot be generated or synthesized by the human body itself. These have to be obtained from one's diet and/or from supplements. Therefore, they are called "essential".

Food supplement.

One tablet twice a day. Take the tablet with some water during meals.

Store at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.
