Indications/Uses
Treatment of conjunctivitis & corneal ulcers caused by susceptible strains of bacteria.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Bacterial conjunctivitis Day 1 & 2: Instill 1-2 drops in affected eye 2-4 hr. Day 3-7: Instill 1-2 drops qid. Bacterial corneal ulcer Day 1 & 2: Instill 1-2 drops in affected eye every 30 min while awake. Awaken at 4-6 hr after retiring & instill 1-2 drops. Day 3-7: Instill 1-2 drops every hr while awake. Day 7-9: Instill 1-2 drops qid.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ofloxacin or other quinolones.
Special Precautions
Hypersensitivity reactions. Overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms, including fungi in prolonged use. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <1 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Transient ocular burning or discomfort; ocular redness, stinging, itching, photophobia, tearing & dryness. Convulsions & increased intracranial pressure.
