Timolol maleate
Indications/Uses
Management of open-angle glaucoma, ocular HTN, aphakia, glaucoma & secondary glaucoma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 drop bid.
Contraindications
Existing or history of bronchial asthma, severe COPD, sinus bradycardia, 2nd- or 3rd-degree AV block, overt cardiac failure, cardiogenic shock.
Special Precautions
Bronchial asthma, COPD, CHF. Prolonged use in patients w/ extensive ocular surface disease. Regular ophth exam is required. Avoid use while wearing contact lenses. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis, decreased corneal sensitivity, visual disturbances including refractive changes, diplopia, ptosis; bradycardia, arrhythmia, hypotension, syncope, heart block, CVA, cerebral ischemia, CHF, palpitation & cardiac arrest; bronchospasm, resp failure, dyspnea; headache, asthenia, fatigue, chest pain; local & generalized rash, urticaria, alopecia; dizziness, depression, increased signs & symptoms of myasthenia gravis; nausea.
Drug Interactions
Epinephrine, other β-blockers, Ca antagonists, catecholamine-depleting drugs, digitalis, quinidine.

S01ED01 - timolol ; Belongs to the class of beta blocking agents. Used in the treatment of glaucoma.
