Tab Urogenital trichomoniasis 1 tab morning & night for 7 days or 5 tab as a single dose.
Amoebiasis Intestinal disease in suspceptible subject 2 tab tid for 5 days or 5 tab as a single dose for 3 days.
Intestinal disease in less susceptible subject & chronic amoebic hepatitis 1 tab tid for 5-10 days or 5 tab as a single dose for 2 days.
Amoebic liver abscess & other forms of extra intestinal amoebiasis 1 tab tid for 5 days or 5 tab as a single dose for 2 days.
Acute ulcerative gingivitis 1 tab bid for 3 days.
Giardiasis 1st course: 5 tab as a single dose for 3 days. 2nd course of treatment may be necessary 2 wk after the end of the 1st course.
Anaerobic infections w/ other bacteriologically appropriate antibacterial agent for ≥7 days Adult 500 mg tid.
Childn & infant 7 mg/kg tid.
Prevention of anaerobic infections Adult 400 mg every 8 hr for 3-4 days up to 1 g.
Inj Adult 500 mg (100 mL) infused over a period of 20 min at a rate of 5 mL/min 8 hrly.
Childn <12 yr 7.5 mg/kg at a rate of 5 mL/min 8 hrly.
