Concise Prescribing Info
Primary (impetigo, folliculitis, furunculosis, ecthyma) & secondary bacterial skin infections (infected dermatoses eg, infected eczema; infected traumatic lesions eg, abrasions, insect bites, minor wounds & burns) due to susceptible organisms. Prophylaxis: Avoid contamination of small wounds, incisions & other lesions. Prevent infection of abrasions & small cuts & wounds.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult, childn & elderly Apply bid-tid for up to 10 days.
Special Precautions
Not suitable for ophth or intranasal use, use in conjunction w/ cannulae & at the site of central venous cannulation. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Discontinue use in case of sensitization reaction or severe local irritation occur. Overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms (prolonged use). Renal impairment. Large quantities of polyethylene glycol absorption especially w/ moderate or severe renal impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Burning localized to the area of application.
Drug Interactions
Interfered antibacterial action on RNA synthesis w/ chloramphenicol.
