Indications/Uses
Maintenance therapy of labyrinthine disorders (vertigo, dizziness, tinnitus, nystagmus, nausea & vomiting), cerebrovascular origin (dizziness, ear buzzing, vascular headache, unsociability, irritability disorders, loss of memory & lack of conc), migraine. Prophylaxis of motion sickness; maintenance therapy for symptoms of peripheral circulatory disorders, including Raynaud's phenomenon, acrocyanosis, trophic disturbances, intermittent claudication, trophic & varicose ulcers, paraesthesia, nocturnal cramps, cold extremities.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Cerebral circulation disorder 1 tab tid or 1 forte cap daily. Peripheral circulation disorders 2-3 tab tid or 2-3 forte cap daily. Vestibular disturbances 1 tab tid or 1 forte cap daily. Motion sickness Adult 1 tab ½ hr before traveling. To be repeated 6 hrly. Childn ½ adult dose. Vertigo Dose-dependent, increased progressively. Max dosage should not exceed 225 mg (9 tab or 3 cap) daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Special Precautions
Parkinson's disease. Concomitant administration w/ alcohol or CNS depressants. May cause epigastric distress; taking it after meals may diminish gastric irritation. Driving/operating machines. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Somnolence & GI disturbances. Aggravation or appearance of extrapyramidal symptoms (prolonged use in elderly). Headache, dry mouth, wt gain, perspiration, allergic reactions. Lichen planus & lupus-like symptoms.
