Indications/Uses
Moderate to severe atopic eczema unresponsive to conventional therapy.
Special Precautions
Not for ophth, oral or intravag use. Not to be used continuously for >6 wk w/ free period application for up to 2 wk. Childn <2 yr. Tacroz Immunocompromised patients or those w/ conditions that may increased systemic absorption. Not be applied to pre-malignant skin conditions. Tacroz Forte Increased risk of varicella zoster or herpes simplex virus infection, eczema herpeticum. Lymphadenopathy. Minimize or avoid exposure to natural or artificial sunlight (tanning beds or UVA/B treatment). Not recommended in patients w/ Netherton's syndrome. Erythroderma.
Adverse Reactions
Tacroz Local irritation & skin disorders (herpes simplex & zoster infections); headache & flu-like symptoms. Facial flushing & skin irritations (alcohol consumption). Tacroz Forte Skin burning, pruritus, skin erythema, skin tingling, folliculitis, acne, herpes simplex (herpes, cold sores, eczema herpeticum, Kaposi's varicelliform eruption); hyperaesthesia; alcohol intolerance.
Drug Interactions
Tacroz Facial flushing or skin irritation w/ alcohol. Tacroz Forte CYP3A4 inhibitors eg, erythromycin, itraconazole, ketoconazole, fluconazole, Ca channel blockers & cimetidine.

D11AH01 - tacrolimus ; Belongs to the class of agents for atopic dermatitis, excluding corticosteroids. Used in the treatment of atopic dermatitis.
