Apply ointment to each lesion and massage gently. Treatment twice daily for 2 or 3 weeks is usually adequate, although treatment for 4-6 weeks might be required if thickening of the skin has occurred.
Hypersensitivity to tolnaftate.
If irritation occurs due to Tinactin, treatment should be discontinued.
Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes.
If a patient shows no improvement after 4 weeks of treatment with Tinactin, diagnosis should be reviewed. Treatment with Tinactin should be discontinued if the patient's skin disease becomes worse.
