Indications/Uses
Treatment & prevention of vit C deficiency.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Prevention 25-75 mg daily. Treatment ≥250 mg daily in divided doses.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Adverse Reactions
Large doses: Diarrhea & other GI disturbances; hyperoxaluria & formation of renal Ca oxalate calculi; tolerance (prolonged use); hemolysis (in patients w/ G6PD deficiency).
Drug Interactions
May increase absorption of Fe in Fe-deficiency states.
