Clinical manifestations of urate/uric acid deposition eg, idiopathic gout, uric acid lithiasis; gouty arthritis, skin tophi &/or renal involvement, hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase, including Lesch-Nyhan syndrome; glucose-6-phosphatase including glycogen storage disease; phosphoribosylpyrophosphate synthetase; phosphoribosylpyrophosphate aminotransferase; adenine phosphoribosyltransferase. Management of 2,8-dihydroxyadenine renal stones related to deficient activity of adenine phosphoribosyltransferase. Management of recurrent mixed Ca oxalate renal stones in the presence of hyperuricosuria, when fluid, dietary & similar measures have failed.
