Indications/Uses
Herpes simplex virus infection of the skin including initial & recurrent genital herpes & herpes labialis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thin film to infected skin areas 5 times daily (every 4 hr). Max duration of therapy: 10 days.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Not to be applied to mucous membranes (eg, oral cavity, eye or vagina) to avoid local irritation.
Special Precautions
May compromise latex condom reliability. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Transient burning or stinging of the treated areas. Occasionally, reddening, drying & scaling of treated skin.
