Anxiety Initially 1 mg bd. Psychotic patient 2-5 mg bd initially, increasing up to 40 mg daily. Anti-emetic Adult 1-2 mg bd.

Pregnancy, lactation, elderly, debilitated childn. Renal impairment, CV or resp disorders, parkinsonism, diabetes, phaeochromocytoma, epilepsy, glaucoma. May impair temp regulatory mechanism.

Drowsiness, dependence, antimuscarinic effects, insomnia, depression, convulsion, agitation, tachycardia, postural hypotension, allergic reactions, agranulocytosis, tardive dyskinesia, impaired glucose tolerance.
