Full Prescribing Info
Hypersensitivity to budesonide or any of the ingredients of Budenofalk. Local infections of the intestine (bacteria, fungi, amoebae, viruses).
Budenofalk should not be taken in severe disorders of liver function, as it is similar to treatment with other glucocorticoids, will lead to a reduction of the elimination rate and to an increase of systemic availability; these patients should therefore be excluded from treatment with budesonide for the time being.
Budenofalk may cause suppression of the hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal axis and reduce the stress response. Where patients are subjects to surgery or other stresses, supplementary systemic glucocorticoid treatment is recommended.
Use in children: Budenofalk should not be taken by infants due to insufficient experience in this age group.
