Each tablet contains: Cinnarizine 25 mg.
CELENID (Cinnarizine) is an antihistamine which is used for the symptomatic treatment of nausea and vertigo due to meniere's disease and other labyrinthine disturbances and for the prevention and treatment of motion sickness.
CELENID (Cinnarizine) is also used in the management of peripheral arterial disease.
For nausea and vertigo: Adults: ½ to 1 tablet 3 times daily.
For motion sickness: Adults: 1 tablet taken 2 hours before the start of the journey and ½ tablet every 8 hours if necessary.
For the management of peripheral arterial disease: Adults: 3 tablets 2-3 times daily.
No contraindications have so far been observed.
USE IN PREGNANCY: There are no adequate studies in pregnant women. Hence, Celenid tablets should only be used during pregnancy only if the therapeutic benefits justify the potential risk for the foetus.
Drowsiness or gastro-intestinal disorders may occur at high dosages. In most cases these side effects disappear spontaneously after a few days. In sensitive patients, it is advisable to start the treatment with 1 tablet 3 times daily and to increase the dosage progressively.
Cinnarizine may enhance the sedative effects of CNS depressants, such as alcohol, barbiturates, hypnotics, narcotic analgesics, sedatives and tranquilisers and also have an additive antimuscarinic action with other antimuscarinic drugs, such as atropine and tricyclic antidepressants.
Keep container tightly closed in a cool dry place, protect from light, heat and moisture.
