DUOLAC Derma is a Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) supplement for the whole family which contributes to the maintenance of normal skin. The LAB are protected by a unique patented dual coating technology developed to maximize their survival rate 100 times higher than uncoated LAB. The dual coating technology protects the LAB from mechanical pressure during manufacturing, transportation, heat and moisture. Its unique pH-dependent release mechanism ensures survivability of LAB against gastric acid and bile salts, while releasing them in the intestine to ensure their effective colonization and proliferation.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Polydextrose, Dextrose, Fructooligosaccharide, Microcrystalline cellulose, Magnesium stearate.
Pharmacology: Clinical Experience: DUOLAC Derma was studied in 64 subjects with mild to moderate AD. Subjects received either multispecies probiotics (Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei, and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis) or a placebo for a period of 8 weeks. After 8-week with probiotics, the EASI score was significantly improved, 50% of the subjects experienced improvement of their skin conditions1.
DUOLAC Derma was studied in 100 children with mild to moderate AD by randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel trial with a washout period of 2 weeks and an intervention period for 6 weeks.

Lactose Status: Lactose Free according to the guidelines stated by European Food Safety Authority3. The reference threshold level is Danish reference of lactose not more than 10mg/100g in the product. Should the patient has a condition that does not allow them to consume lactose, consult the physician before using DUOLAC Derma.
