Indications/Uses
Reduction of elevated IOP in patient w/ open-angle glaucoma or ocular HTN.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 drop in the affected eye/s once daily in the evening.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Aphakic eyes or intraocular lens inserted eyes. Concomitant use w/ tafluprost.
Special Precautions
Active ocular inflammation including iritis/uveitis. Macular edema including cystoid macular edema & iritis may occur. Instruct patients to immediately consult w/ medical professionals if abnormalities (eg, worsening vision) are experienced. Angle-closure glaucoma. Do not directly touch the tip of the bottle to the eye. If >1 topical ophth product is being used, administer each ≥5 min apart. May change the colour of contact lenses. Remove contact lens before use & put them back 15 min or longer afterwards. Temporary blurred vision or photophobia may develop; instruct patients not to drive or operate machines until the symptom disappears. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn & adolescents.
Adverse Reactions
Conjunctival hyperemia. Corneal thickening, macular edema (including cystoid macular edema), iritis, eye pain, photophobia, ocular discomfort (eg, irritation), corneal epithelial disorders.
Drug Interactions
May increase risk of ocular inflammation w/ tafluprost. Elevated frequency of ocular inflammatory AR including conjunctival hyperemia w/ other glaucoma/ocular HTN medications (eg, timolol maleate).
