Standardized red yeast rice.
HypoCol contains standardized proprietary red yeast rice which is scientifically derived from fermentation of Monascus purpureus Went sp on premium rice, including by-products of the fermentation process consisting of monacolins (naturally occurring HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors 0.2-0.3% Monacolin K), natural pigment and unsaturated fatty acids.
The naturally occurring HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors in HypoCol works by lowering the liver's production of cholesterol. HypoCol helps in lowering levels of harmful triglycerides (TG) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and increasing levels of high-density lipoproteins (HDL).
Clinical studies have shown that patients have achieved healthy cholesterol levels with various dosages of the proprietary ingredient in HypoCol capsule. Combined with a sensible diet and exercise program, HypoCol is a safe and effective option for the management of healthy cholesterol balance.
Clinical Evaluation of HypoCol: Clinical trials carried out in USA showed reduction in total serum cholesterol levels by 11-32% and LDL cholesterol levels by 12-22%. Triglyceride levels were reduced by as much as 23% while HDL levels increased up to 14%.
For use by healthy adult men and postmenopausal women for maintaining healthy balance of circulating cholesterol levels. For individuals whose total serum cholesterol levels fall within the borderline risk bracket, HypoCol is intended to be used as part of a cholesterol management program that should include a healthy diet restricted in saturated fat and cholesterol and regular exercise.
