Standardized red yeast rice.
Description
HypoCol contains standardized proprietary red yeast rice which is scientifically derived from fermentation of Monascus purpureus Went sp on premium rice, including by-products of the fermentation process consisting of monacolins (naturally occurring HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors 0.2-0.3% Monacolin K), natural pigment and unsaturated fatty acids.
Action
The naturally occurring HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors in HypoCol works by lowering the liver's production of cholesterol. HypoCol helps in lowering levels of harmful triglycerides (TG) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and increasing levels of high-density lipoproteins (HDL).
