L-Mesitran Soft & L-Mesitran Tulle 40% medical grade honey, medical grade hypoallergenic lanolin, propylene glycol, PEG 4000, vit C, vit E. L-Mesitran Hydro & Border & L-Mesitran Active 30% honey, acrylic polymer gel & water w/ polyurethane film backing, w/ & w/o an adhesive border. L-Mesitran Net 20% medical grade honey, acrylic polymer gel & water on polyester mesh. L-Mesitran Oint 48% medical grade honey, medical grade hypoallergenic lanolin, sunflower oil, cod liver oil, Calendula officinalis, Aloe barbadensis, vit C, vit E, Zn oxide
Indications/Uses
Chronic wounds eg, pressure ulcers; superficial & partial thickness burns; venous, arterial & diabetic ulcers; fungating wounds. Acute wounds eg, donor sites, surgical wounds, cuts & abrasions. L-Mesitran Soft, L-Mesitran Tulle & L-Mesitran Oint Colonised acute wounds & post-op wounds.
Dosage/Direction for Use
L-Mesitran Tulle & L-Mesitran Hydro & Border Apply dressing on cleansed wound. L-Mesitran Soft Using a sterile spatula, distribute thinly either directly to the wound area & the surrounding tissue or on to sterile gauze first. Re-apply when dressing has dissolved once every 24-48 hr. L-Mesitran Tulle Replace dressing when the gel is used. L-Mesitran Hydro & Border & L-Mesitran Active Dressing can remain in place up to 5 days. L-Mesitran Net Secondary dressing used in conjunction w/ L-Mesitran Oint & L-Mesitran Soft. L-Mesitran Oint Primary wound dressing to be covered w/ secondary dressings.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. L-Mesitran Hydro & Border, L-Mesitran Active & L-Mesitran Net Heavily exuding wounds, full thickness burns & deep, narrow cavities or sinuses.
Special Precautions
Careful removal is advised to avoid skin damage due to adhesives, especially for repeated applications. Avoid direct sunlight & moisture. L-Mesitran Net Ensure appropriate secondary dressing to prevent dressing from drying out. L-Mesitran Oint Bacterial chronic wound colonisation. Consult medical supervision if signs of infection eg, fever pain, redness & push occurs.
