Indications and Dosage
Peripheral vascular disease
Adult: Initially, 40 mg 4 times daily, increase to 80 mg 4 times daily if necessary. Withdraw if no response in 2 wk.
Active liver disease, pregnancy, lactation.
Special Precautions
DM (insulin requirements may be reduced); monitor liver function.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea; diarrhoea; flushing; headache; dizziness; dry mouth; nasal congestion; hepatotoxicity.
Hypotension is the main symptom. Nurse patient in the supine position until BP returns to normal.
Drug Interactions
May enhance effects of antihypertensives. Hypotensive effect may be enhanced by TCAs.
Description: Moxisylyte is an α-adrenoceptor blocker with vasodilating activity.
Store below 30°C.
