Contents
Per tab vit B1 100 mg, vit B6 200 mg, vit B12 200 mcg. Per inj vit B1 100 mg, vit B6 100 mg, vit B12 1,000 mcg
Indications/Uses
Tab: Nerve pain eg, pricking/tingling sensation, numbness, muscle stiffness, muscle cramp, impaired sensation. Inj: Neurological & other disorders associated w/ disturbance of metabolic functions influenced by vit B complex including diabetic polyneuropathy, alcoholic peripheral neuritis & post influenzal neuropathies. Treatment of neuritis & neuralgia of the spinal nerves especially facial paresis, cervical syndrome, low back pain, ischialgia, herpes zoster.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Tab 1 tab tds. Inj 1 amp IM daily. Follow-up therapy/milder cases: 2-3 amp/wk.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take w/ or after meals. Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Not suitable for childn.
Special Precautions
Long-term treatment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions eg sweating, tachycardia & skin reactions w/ itching & urticaria; GI complaints eg nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or abdominal pain. Inj: Acne (high doses), inj site reactions.
Drug Interactions
Reduced effect of L-dopa, pyridoxine-antagonists eg INH, cycloserine, penicillamine, hydralazine. Reduced blood level w/ loop diuretics (eg furosemide).
