Orphenadrine citrate 35 mg, mefenamic acid 250 mg
Indications/Uses
Relief of pain & muscle spasm associated w/ acute musculoskeletal disorders.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >14 yr Initially 2 tab then 1 tab 6 hrly for 1 wk.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to aspirin or other NSAIDs. Patients w/ active ulceration or chronic inflammation of either upper/lower GIT, preexisting renal disease. Patients w/ glaucoma, achalasia, prostatic hypertrophy, bladder neck obstruction or myasthenia gravis.
Special Precautions
Patients in whom these drugs induce symptoms of bronchospasm, allergic rhinitis or urticaria. Late pregnancy. Childn <14 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain; blood disorders; drowsiness, dizziness, nervousness, headache, blurred vision, insomnia; urticaria, rash, facial oedema, papillary necrosis, renal failure, haematuria & dysuria.
Drug Interactions
Oral anticoagulants, anticholinergics, aminopyrine, steroidal contraceptives, griseofulvin, hexobarbital, phenylbutazone.
